Poet and lyricist, Stevie Kalinich, believes that in order for peace to win, me must embrace it as aggressively as war.

From my experience
the more i am grateful
the more i am satisfied.
Gratitude opens up doors, avenues .roads inside
takes me to places i do not know
that are beautiful
and lets me focus
on giving
but with discernment
which leads me
to better choices
and more fulfillment.
In the still reflections
of each day
i find beauties and grace
in simple things.
A morning walk
a meal
a step on the concrete sidewalk.
As if the whole world
which is alive
becomes alive to me
as if for the first time.
The awe of life is overpowering
and then there are days
that stagger me
knock me down
and i try to ride them out
uncertain as to the outcome
but just allowing
peace to rule
within my thoughts
and directing the flow
where it is effortless
towards the good.
