This is from the shoot done a month ago for Nico Vega's new album about to be released. The images did not get "approved" by the record company however. My guess is too much implied nudity, or possibly a misconception of portraying violence with the shooting range targets, or maybe they're just shit photos - you decide for yourself. Personally I thought it would have been an excellent cover as it is very eye-catching and also portrays a little of what Nico Vega is about. Check them out at [link]
The typography is something I added as an example only, it would not have been the final version.
As usual all concepts, lighting, make-up, etc. by me and no photoshop/digital manipulation.
I'm in favour of this photo for the following reasons:
The target range thing works in lots of ways - it's an image I'm going to take away and think about. The first idea is of critics/fans receiving the new material, the exmination of every second of every song - that target feeling. But then there's this layer that the shape, the impression, is that they are just targets, it's not part of the real world, this target-function of people. And on the other hand again they are still real people.
And they're saying bring it on then. That's cool.
Everything else is just trimming, is theory, but the expressions etc are all worth seeing.
Of the three pics you posted, I love this one the best. Very cool idea and definitely eye catching, almost jarring (in a very good way). ^_^ Great work and the expressions on their faces are perfect.

Thanks, that's really what I was trying to achieve - something that will capture attention and make you think about it. Unfortunately the record company did not know what was good for them!
